Press Release

Based on the strict technical assessment carried out by CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council) within various areas of the company, Patinter has obtained the iconic SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment for Sustainability) accreditation.

Patinter recently received a team from CEFIC that, after verifying in detail the carrier’s quality, safety and security, environment and corporate social responsibility parameters, awarded the company SQAS accreditation, which will be valid for 3 years. Patinter’s results were above the European average within all the analysed standards and requirements.

Despite not being a certification system, SQAS is an assessment system that analyses the performance of logistics service providers and/or distributors of chemical products, in accordance with the special requirements for storage, distribution and transport required for chemical products.

The reports resulting from the study are public and based on detailed facts, enabling companies in the chemical industry to assess logistics service providers, as well as evaluate their own standards and adjust the sustainability strategy of their operations.

Since Patinter is a partner of companies in the chemical sector, obtaining the SQAS is crucial given that it attests to the company’s commitment to sustainable development and its stance as a company that works based on a responsible conduct. In addition, this system provides companies with very useful feedback relative to their strong points and potential areas for improvement, as indicated by the audit, serving as a guideline for the future optimization of their procedures.

For Miguel Henriques, the Sales Manager for Group Patinter, "this new accreditation is an essential element to integrate new markets and reinforce the supply of the transport service solutions we provide, namely, for the chemical sector. Besides this, it acknowledges, without a doubt, our capacity to act according to principles based on safety, ethics and quality.”
