Patinter allocates 2.5 million euros for a “more ecological” fleet

Patinter’s fleet renewal programme – included in the group’s environmental sustainability policy – has been scrupulously fulfilled and even in an atypical year due to the Covid-19 virus, its goals have remained unchanged. Proving this is the purchase of 50 tautliners, 15 refrigerated semi-trailers and 21 container carrier trailers, some of which are already circulating, that are joining the nearly 1300 vehicles that make up Patinter’s own fleet.

"Our permanent wager in this area reflects itself in the modernization of the fleet from an aesthetic and functional point of view but, above all, in the reduction of operating costs and in the fulfilment of the environmental objectives stipulated for this year, leading to prospects of a reduction of around 4% in CO2 emissions." Currently, the average age of Patinter’s fleet is around 2-3 years. The periodic exchange of vehicles and trailers is meant to reduce that time period, guaranteeing, at the same time, greater driving comfort and safety of its drivers.

Patinter is a carrier that has been certified by the ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System standard and whose DNA includes an assumed concern with sustainability given the posture of "responsibility, honesty and innovation” defended by its leaders.  "We constantly invest in the expansion and renewal of our fleet to satisfy, with quality and efficiency, our customers’ needs, contributing towards an ecological footprint that is as positive as possible”, states a source from Management.
