Patinter signed the commitment to the

Patinter recently participated in the signing ceremony of the "3 in Line – Programme for the Reconciliation of Professional, Personal and Family Life”, held at the Pavilion of Knowledge in Lisbon. Daniela Santos, Director of Communication and Marketing, and Maria Palash, Director of Quality and SHST, represented the transport company at the event which marked the formal adherence of organisations to the Reconciliation Pact.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Presidency and Administrative Modernisation, Maria Manuel Leitão Marques, and the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality, Rosa Monteiro. The signing of the memorandum of commitment confirms Patinter's participation in a project that aims to implement and certify a management system based on the Portuguese standard NP4552:2016, which promotes the reconciliation of professional, family, and personal life.

Daniela Santos highlighted the importance of this commitment, stating that "the balance between professional and family life can sometimes seem unattainable, especially when we talk about roles such as that of a heavy goods vehicle driver. This profession inherently involves being away from family or having uncertain and demanding work schedules, which can compromise this reconciliation. However, we cannot assume that nothing can be done in this area, as today – more than ever – society is moving towards promoting harmony between family and professional life, eliminating the idea that these two worlds are rivals.”

Certification according to the NP4552 standard is seen by Patinter as a starting point for the implementation of a better organisational culture and the promotion of employee well-being. Daniela Santos emphasises that "success will largely depend on the involvement and commitment of each employee, making the participation of everyone essential.”
